SUMMARY:Nailsworth: Quartet for the End of Time
DESCRIPTION:Olivier Messiaen Quartet for the End of Time \nIn a change to the previously-advertised programme\, Bristol Ensemble performs Olivier Messiaen’s hauntingly beautiful 8-movement work Quartet for the End of Time. Considered to be one of his most important works\, Messiaen wrote the piece whilst held as a prisoner of war in German captivity\, and it was first performed by his fellow prisoners. \nTea and cakes served at 4pm. \nTickets £15 (£13 for those on low incomes)\, available online from Eventbrite or on the door. Under 18s free of charge.
