Kat Kleve

Kat is a singer and instrumentalist, playing the violin, guitar and piano. She has been a part of Preludes Music since 2021 providing whole-class and string lessons. Kat feels hugely passionate about introducing the world of music to children; growing up being taught by Penny Rawlings at ‘Hum and Drum’, she has experienced first hand the joy and impact music can bring!

Originally from Bristol, Kat attended Cotham School before moving to London to study musical theatre at the Guildford School of Acting. Since graduating, she has performed across the stage and screen in productions such as the original West End cast of Once: The Musical, the original West End cast of Mrs Henderson Presents, and the West End revival of Brief Encounter. Alongside performing, Kat has taught for companies including Stagecoach, Perform UK and Mini Mozart. Since moving back to Bristol, Kat continues to work in the arts and in 2023, she co-created, composed, and performed her solo show, TINK which enjoyed success at Tobacco Factory Theatres, The Other Palace, and a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Beyond her roles in teaching and performing, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family in Bristol and Norway and never fails to enjoy a good Netflix documentary!
