A New Website and Brand for Bristol Ensemble

We’re delighted to announce the launch of Bristol Ensemble’s new website and brand, just in time for our 30th birthday!

Bristol Ensemble teamed up with the fantastic Sue Bush at the Co-Foundry and Jambi Digital and after several months of research into our audiences and supporters across Bristol we have created a site that reflects our mission as the Orchestra for the West of England. We had great fun getting photos on a sunny, but very chilly, March morning across Bristol too with the fabulous photographer Matt Lincoln!

Based on research with our audiences and team, the new brand and website aims to:

  • Reflect the spirit and personality of Bristol and the Ensemble, and capture the energy and dynamism of our performances.
  • Communicate more clearly the relationship between the orchestra and its educational arm, Preludes Music, and showcase the important work that our tutors do in schools across the city.
  • Throw the spotlight onto the professional players behind the orchestra, and the stories behind each performance.
  • Make it easier to preview events, book tickets and support the work we do.

The ultimate aim is to help more people in Bristol and across the West Country to experience the community, solace and joy of live music.

Our new logo uses the motif of musical noteheads, moulded into a B + E shape, which also transform into playful eyes for Preludes Music. We’ve created relaxed, friendly, and playful photography for the Preludes Music tutors and students.

Bristol Ensemble’s founder and chief executive, Roger Huckle says:

“We are thrilled at our new look and hope that the brand and website reflect the energy and joy we want to communicate through our live music performances and education work.”

Thank you to Jambi Digital who helped build and develop the designs for the site, to Matt Lincoln for the wonderful photography, and special thanks to Bath-based brand identity consultant Sue Bush and her team of design specialists at The Co-Foundry for their support to develop our brand.

We hope you enjoy our new website as much as we do! We’d welcome your thoughts and feedback at info@bristolensemble.com.
