The Bristol Ensemble is one of the most versatile orchestras of its kind.  For the last 30 years it has been making music across Bristol and the Southwest, working with choirs, soloists, opera companies, ballet schools, jazz bands, pop groups, and recording for film, television, and radio.

From Bach to the Beatles and Puccini to Pink Floyd, the orchestra has an incredibly rich and varied concert schedule.  A number of our players hold principal positions with leading orchestras and chamber groups across the country, and many are also specialists in historical performance on period instruments. The orchestra has significant studio experience, and is regularly commissioned to record soundtracks for high profile clients, such as Aardman Animations, Netflix, the BBC, and Channel 4.
