Bristol Ensemble Session Orchestra draws upon the expertise of top session players from the UK, including international soloists, concertmasters, principal musicians, and chamber performers with significant studio experience. Our musicians have featured on a wide array of recordings, ranging from film soundtracks to collaborations with major orchestras.

Bristol Ensemble Session Orchestra has provided the music for award-winning productions including Aardman Animations Star Wars Vision (I Am Your Mother), BBC’s Life in Cold Blood, Channel 4’s Any Human Heart, and the 2021 Aardman Animation film Robin Robin.

Bristol Ensemble Session Orchestra has worked in some of the most acclaimed recording studios in the world including Real World Studios, Invada Studios and Challow Park Studios. Clients include Tom Barnes, Jeremy Holland Smith, David Poore, Ben Salisbury, Geoff Barrow, Neil Davidge, Will Slater, Kevin Figes and David Johnston.
