Bath Choral Society once again opens the season of Christmas music at Bath Abbey with performances of Handel’s Messiah.  The oratorio relates the biblical prophecies concerning “The Messiah” and how they came to be fulfilled in the course of Christ’s life, from the opening solo ‘Comfort Ye’ and the chorus ‘Unto us a child is born’, through the Passion with ‘Since by man came death’ to the magnificent concluding ‘Amen’.
