Bristol Ensemble performs Anton Bruckner’s epic 7th Symphony, recently arranged for chamber orchestra by Luís Carvalho.

A renowned organist throughout his life, Bruckner even visited London where he performed on the famous Willis organ at the Royal Albert Hall. It therefore seems appropriate to open the concert with Bruckner’s Postlude in D Minor WAB 126 played by Jed Hughes, organist at St Mary’s, and virtuoso exponent of the St Mary’s famous ‘Handel organ’.
