Charlotte Dunling
Charlotte Dunling is a clarinettist with a passion for sharing music with people from all walks of life. She has worked for Preludes since 2018 as a clarinet teacher and classroom teacher and loves every moment. Charlotte is now also in the Preludes Project Manager role, coordinating overall running of Preludes Music.
Charlotte has always had a passion for music, but her love for the clarinet started at the age of 7. She regularly took part in music lessons and extra curricular activities with a love for clarinet groups, orchestras and choirs. After growing up as a musician in Cambridge, Charlotte moved to Bath to study a BA in Music, graduating in 2018 with First Class Honours. During her time at university, she found a love for community music. This led to working on a placement, and subsequently running sessions with Singing for the Brain and the Alzheimer’s Society. This developed into her work with Preludes Music. Charlotte also works for Wiltshire Rural Music who aim to bring music to rural communities. As part of this work, Charlotte regularly performs in nursing homes alongside Emma, another Preludes Tutor, providing musical experiences to care homes across Wiltshire.
Outside of Preludes Music, Charlotte enjoys spending time outside on long walks in the cold weather. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially when playing a good board game!
