Jeremy Little
Jeremy started percussion in the sixth form when he was told to put down his cello and go and play the timpani in Sibelius Symphony No. 2. The director of music said it went much better than he thought it would and arranged lessons. Jeremy then decided to study psychology and zoology at Bristol university but travelled up to London for percussion lessons.
He is a founder member of the Bristol Ensemble and has enjoyed a huge variety of music making with them over the last three decades, from Beethoven symphonies to dressing up at Christmas playing the xylophone from the wrong side.
Jeremy performs regularly with many other orchestras including Welsh National Opera, Bath Philharmonia, Ulster Orchestra and English National Ballet. He records for film and television the most notable being a solo role in Dog Soldiers, a werewolf horror.
He teaches at Millfield and enjoys coaching the percussion section of the National Children’s Orchestra. Jeremy is also a part time handyman and particularly enjoys working with wood.
