Joe Galuska

Joe is a composer, conductor, and instrumentalist based in Bristol. He has been teaching with Preludes Music since 2024 and teaches piano and brass at Somerdale and Ilminster Avenue. Joe loves helping young musicians discover their creativity and confidence through music. He’s passionate about making music accessible and joyful for every child, regardless of background.

Joe’s musical journey began in Buckinghamshire, where he taught himself piano before going on to study trumpet, tenor horn, and tuba. He studied performance for his first music degree and later returned to education to specialise in composition for film and television. Joes has written music for orchestras, brass bands, and screen, and continues to work as a freelance composer alongside teaching and conducting.

Outside of teaching, Joe conducts a host of community ensembles, he plays percussion and timpani with local orchestras, and enjoys hiking, cycling, cooking, and watching classic films.
